Improved gameplay mechanics and humor inspired by sci-fi flicks of the 1950s make this game a hard-to-pass-on for any genre fan. Destroy All Humans! Destroy All Humans! is a remake of the 2005 game of the same name, developed by Black Forest Games and Published by THQ Nordic. Like in the original, the player controls a Furon alien named Cryptosporidium-137, or “Crypto”, whose goal is to eradicate humanity and conquer Earth. The game is set in an open world environment, where the player can wreak havoc among the civilians and military personnel using a variety of cosmic weapons. Crypto alien can also use his powers such as telekinesis and an ability to disguise himself as a human to put his plan in motion. The remake introduces several new mechanics, including a Focus Mode, in which the player can lock onto enemies. DAH! received positive initial reception from the critics, who noted the updated gameplay mechanics and the outlandish humor inspired by the alien movies of the 1950s. Crypto returns with more genocidal action Destroy All Humans! offers the player a unique chance to play as the invading alien force, rather than the brave defenders of planet Earth. The gameplay makes use of various tropes associated with aliens’ depictions in 1950s movies, such as Crypto’s “flying saucer” spaceship, and some of the weapons he can use in combat. These include the classic Disintegration Ray and Ion Detonator, but also a self-explanatory Anal Probe and Zap-O-Matic electrocution device. The flying saucer is also equipped with deadly Death Ray, able to burn bodies and level whole buildings, and Abduction Ray, which sucks in fleeing civilians onboard for…future studies. Crypto can also use his alien abilities like psychokinesis and assuming human form to dupe gullible Earthlings. Welcome to Earth Destroy All Humans! is set in an open-world environment of Earth, specifically in the 1950s USA. The world of the game is divided into six sectors based on the famous Area 51 and Washington, D.C., among others. Each of these areas has specific challenges for the player to complete, outside general mayhem. To make moving around the open spaces easier, Crypto is equipped with a jet-pack, which he can use to glide around the area. He can also use his flying saucer to travel from place to place. For the glory of Furons! Cryptosporidium-137, reports for duty! The mission? Conquest new worlds for the glory of the Furon race. The target? A small blue planet in the Solar System called “Earth”.
