We are proud to support one of Britain’s most recognisable and treasured heritage sites, Castle Howard. This decadent arrangement is inspired by the magnificent 8,800-acre estate. Working with Castle Howard, a place like no other, we have produced an arrangement designed to impress. This stunning bouquet of Sunflowers has been inspired by Castle Howard’s relationship with William Morris.In the 1870s the Castle Howard Chapel was decorated in the Arts and Crafts style, and boasts beautiful stained-glass windows made by Morris & Co. to designs by Edward Burne-Jones. Rosalind, 9th Countess of Carlisle, used William Morris wallpaper throughout the house, including a beautiful sunflower design in the Long Gallery. Throughout the House Morris’ wallpaper was used, including the beautiful sunflower design inspiring this bouquet. Using stunning British Sunflowers and White Oriental Lilies to reprosent the beautiful flowers William Morris included within this beautiful wallpaper then surrounding these with Orange Confidential Roses, Gold Ruscus, Brown Hypericum and Carthamus to represent the bold colours of this wonderful paper. This is truly a Summer bouquet like no other. Proceeds from this bouquet will be passed to Castle Howard to contribute to the continued preservation and conservation of this beautiful Heritage site and to contribute to its maintenance to help ensure it can be enjoyed for many years to come.
