Introducing Van Dyck – Portrait of Charles I bouquet, inspired by the masterpiece Equestrian Portrait of Charles I for the King’s Coronation. Our expert florists have taken inspiration from the painting to create a royal bouquet including the most premium stems. We have included deep Red stems such as Cordyline and Rhodos Roses representing the attire of the servant and the feathers on the helmet which is being passed to the King on the horse. We then paired Brown Hypericum, with Gold Ruscus representing the rich tones of the horse’s coat and the gold chain around the King’s neck which shows he’s a member of an elite society called ‘Order of the Garter’. The inclusion of White Calla Lilies, Avalanche Roses and Snapdragons are inspired by the highlights of this large portrait which is over 3.5 high. Finally, our florists included Blue Eryngium, Agapanthus and Veronica that complement the reds and whites creating a royal colour palette that will be perfect to send to loved ones across the Coronation celebrations.
